3 billion 227 million UAH of the personal income tax were paid in Volyn region during January – September 2020. This is 4.4% more than during the same period in 2019.
The state budget received 822.3 million UAH from legal income of Volyn taxpayers; local communities received 2.4 billion UAH of the personal income tax.
“Positive dynamics of the personal income tax revenues is recorded in Volyn region, which, despite the difficult economic conditions due to the coronary crisis is a result of joint work of tax specialists and employers. It is a responsible position of business that cares about employees’ interests and state – is the basis of budgetary stability” – stated acting Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Volyn region Olga Lishchynska.
Tax official emphasized that the PIT remains the main budget-forming tax for communities. Therefore, only full and legal remuneration and official jobs guarantee the necessary local budgets revenues.
“Official salary is a matter of personal responsibility not only of employer but also of the employee. Everyone who works legally, pays the PIT accordingly can count on support and state’s social protection. It is especially important that the official workplace guarantees the insurance period on the basis of which pension benefits are assigned.” – summarized Olga Lishchynska.
