Official employment: residents of Khmelnytskyi region replenished budget by more than 5 billion UAH of the personal income tax at the expense of legal income

Gratifying responsible position of the business community of Khmelnytskyi region, budgets of all levels received 5 billion 248 million UAH of the personal income tax during 10 months of 2020 from the legal income of working residents of Khmelnytskyi region, which is 132 million UAH more than during the corresponding period in 2019.

According to the distribution, official wages and legal income of residents added almost 4 billion UAH to local budgets, while revenues to the state budget amounted to 1.3 billion UAH.

It is noteworthy that dynamics in the number of employees, despite difficult economic conditions caused by the spread and counteraction to coronavirus infection, has a positive tendency and as of today accounts more than 150 thousand people, which comparing to the corresponding period in 2019 is a plus of more than 6 thousand employees.

In today’s conditions, the dynamics of PIT payment testifies to the economic activity and working potential of the business community of Khmelnytskyi region, which is ultimately confirmed by the relevant deductions from salaries and other legal revenues to the budget.

Main Directorate of the STS in Khmelnytskyi region stated that legal business and official jobs are the basis of budgetary stability of territorial communities and state financial support, which directly depends on how transparent the labor market is and responsible employers in matters of formal employment relations with employees. Therefore, joint remote information and communication measures to combat undeclared work will continue to be actively pursued.

Reminder! Conclusion of employment contract allows the employee to be protected by current labor legislation in case of violation of his / her rights, namely: in case of delay in the calculation of wages and refusal to pay for performed work. At the same time, employers are obliged to send a notification of hiring an employee to tax inspections at the registration place as payers of single contribution to compulsory state social insurance. Such notification must be sent before the start of employee’s work under concluded employment contract. The sample form of Notification on hiring an employee was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as of 17.06.2015 № 413.
