Taxpayers of Odessa region paid 10.5 billion UAH of the personal income tax to the consolidated budget during 11 months of 2020, which is 634.7 million UAH or 6.4% more than during the corresponding period in 2019.
Taxpayers of the Odessa region paid more than 1.1 billion UAH of the personal income tax in November 2020, which is 102.2 million UAH or 10.8% more than in November 2019.
“Basis for employee’s social protection is official conclusion of labor relations agreement and payment of appropriate amount of wages according to the applicable law” – stated Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region Julia Shadevska.
In turn, 2.7 billion UAH was paid to the state budget, which is 134.9 million UAH or 5.3% more than during January – November 2019.
Taxpayers of Odessa region transferred 7.9 billion UAH to local budgets – this figure is 499.8 million UAH or 6.8% more comparing to January – November 2019.
Tax official of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region emphasized that wages are one of the main economic categories that combine interests of workers, entrepreneurs and the state and do not indirectly affect living standards of the population. “Shadow” employment reduces revenues to budgets at all levels, and hence the ability to finance government’s social programs.
Reminder! According to budgetary distribution, namely 25% of the transferred personal income tax is credited to the state budget, 75% goes to the accounts of local treasuries, including the united territorial communities.
