To date, citizens have already submitted almost 60 thousand property and income tax declarations for the total amount of 10.3 billion UAH of declared income. Tax liabilities in the amount of 323.4 million UAH are determined as payable to the budget, of which 280.7 million UAH is the personal income tax and 42.7 million UAH is military levy.
Priority in terms of budget profitability belongs to Kyiv city with 82.2 million UAH of tax liabilities declared for payment. Almost 42 million UAH was declared for payment in Lviv region and 20 million UAH in Zaporizhia region. The biggest amount was declared by a resident of Lviv region, namely 35.5 million UAH.
Please note that the last day for submitting property and income tax declaration is April 30, 2021.
In addition to citizens who are required to submit declarations, there is a category of persons who are entitled to such submission for partial reimbursement of the personal income tax withheld from wages. Such right arises for taxpayers in case of incurring costs allowed for inclusion in the tax rebate, list of which is defined in Article 166 of the Tax Code of Ukraine.
The number of citizens who have declared the right to get a tax rebate is 14 thousand people since the beginning of 2021. Amount of personal income tax determined for reimbursement is 50 million UAH.
Most citizens declare the right to get a tax rebate on expenses incurred in favor of educational institutions, particularly 11 thousand declarations have already been submitted, as well as on expenses for insurance payments and pension contributions – 2.2 thousand declarations.
It is possible to use the tax rebate only until the end of year – this right is not transferred to subsequent years. The last day for submitting tax declaration for tax rebate is 31.12.2021 inclusively.
