Local budgets received almost 34 billion UAH of the land tax

Local budgets received 33.8 billion UAH of the land tax payments during January – September 2025. This is 15.3% or 4.5 billion UAH more than in the same period last year. Then revenues amounted to 29.3 billion UAH.

Leaders in tax payments:

Dnipropetrovsk region – 6 billion UAH,

Kyiv city – 4.8 billion UAH,

Odesa region – 3 billion UAH,

Lviv region – 2.3 billion UAH.

Land tax remains one of the key sources of funding for local budgets, as these funds are used to develop communities, finance infrastructure projects, social sphere and improve territories.

Reminder! Land tax is obligatory payment as a part of the property tax. It includes land tax or rent for land plots owned by state and municipal authorities. 

Land owners and land users pay land tax from the origin date (state registration) of the ownership right or right to use land plot, in the termination case of such rights – for the actual period of ownership or use of land in the current year according to the Tax Code of Ukraine.
