There is a little more than a week left until the end of Declaration campaign2020. After all, due to the quarantine restrictions, its term was extended for a month – until July 1. The citizens’ declaring activity was reduced due to the lack of traffic, difficult situation with the spread of disease in Ternopil region.
However during January – May, 5545 citizens of Ternopil region have already fulfilled their constitutional obligation to declare income. 2813 resident of our region declared tax-free income received in 2019. The number of 2860 individuals used the right to obtain a tax rebate during this period. Total amount of declared income is 431.2 million UAH. Declarants will have to pay 14.2 million UAH of the personal income tax and 2.6 million UAH of the military levy.
Most often, the declarants reported inheritance and gifts. They submitted 853 declarations, declaring 109.2 million UAH of income. Due to the sale of movable and immovable property, 511 individuals enriched with 67.1 million UAH. Another 161 declarants reported receiving income in the amount of 9.7 million UAH, as they leased such property in 2019. Independent professional activity was the reason for submitting declaration by 229 residents of Ternopil region. At the same time, they declared 24.6 million UAH of income. Another 23 individuals claimed to receive investment income in the amount of 16.8 million UAH. The same number of countries declared foreign income in the amount of 14.8 million UAH.
The biggest amounts of personal income tax, namely 6.1 million UAH and 4.4 million UAH, were determined respectively for citizens who received gifts and inheritances last year and carried out independent professional activity. Declarants will have to pay 2.5 million UAH of the foreign income tax. Those who received income from the sale of real estate or movable property will replenish the treasury by paying 1.4 million UAH of tax. Individuals who leased such property will transfer 200 thousand UAH of this payment. Budgets will receive another 100 thousand UAH from those declarants who enriched themselves from investment income in 2019.
