Excisable product control department of Main Directorate of the STS in Chernihiv region reported that according to results of 137 audits of business entities involved in the retail sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products, the number of127 violations was revealed and financial sanctions totaling 1.8 million UAH were applied.
Among the most common violations are: storage of alcohol beverages and tobacco products marked with the counterfeit excise marks and without them (financial sanction for such violation is 17 thousand UAH). Most of these violations were found in Chernihiv, Nosiv, Pryluky and Ichnia districts of Chernihiv region.
Facts of the retail sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products without a license, storage of alcohol beverages and tobacco products in storage places not included in the Unified register of storage places, violation of decisions of city councils to restrict the sale of alcohol beverages at the appointed time, sale of alcohol beverages by business entities that do not have the “catering” status, sale of tobacco products by piece, retail sale of alcohol beverages at prices below the established minimum.
16 licenses for the retail sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products were revoked during 10 months of 2020 due to the sale of alcohol / tobacco to individuals under 18 years of age.
Tax specialists emphasize that the purchase of alcohol beverages is allowed only in specialized retail outlets that have relevant permission and should pay attention to the availability of appropriate excise marks and the cost of products that cannot be below the established minimum.
