Odessa region: payment of income tax increased by 1.2 billion UAH

“Increase in payments to budgets is ensured, first of all, due to honest and responsible payment by taxpayers of Odessa region – stated Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region Julia Shadevska.

Thus, taxpayers paid 2.1 billion UAH of income tax to the consolidated budget during January – November 2020. This is 1.2 billion UAH or 142% more than during the corresponding period in 2019.

Julia Shadevska reported that of the total amount, the taxpayers transferred 1.879.5 million UAH to the state budget, which is 1.109.5 million UAH more than during the corresponding period in 2019. And 223.3 million UAH of this tax was paid to local budgets. Business entities have increased payments by 124.2 million UAH comparing to January – November 2019.

A total of 17.7 thousand corporate income tax payers are registered in Odessa region.

According to results of the corporate income tax declaration for three quarters of 2020, the number of 1724 corporate income tax declarations was submitted, including:

1153 business entities or 66.9% declared a positive value of the taxation object;

510 business entities or 29.6% turned to be unprofitable with the amount of losses of 21.4 billion UAH, which is 3 billion UAH less than during the corresponding period in 2019 (share of revenues losses is 83.8%, which is 24.2% less than during the 1st half of 2020).

Amount of the positive taxation object amounted to 2.8 billion UAH, of which 204.5 million UAH of income tax was declared “payable” to the consolidated budget.

For 3 quarters of 2020, the number of 678 business entities declared an increase in “payable” income tax comparing to the 1st half of 2020 by 87.2 million UAH.

Head of Main Directorate of the STS in Odessa region emphasized that contribution of regional taxpayers in the form of additional payment of taxes enables the state to make social payments in a timely manner and in full amount.
